AUDITION INFORMATION

AUDITION DATES

  • Auditions will take place after school on January 7 & 8, 2024 from 2:15-5:00 PM. Callbacks, if necessary, will take place on January 9 from 2:15-4:00 PM.

  • If you want to audition but cannot make these dates, please let Ms. Wills know in advance, and she may be able to help.

  • The cast and crew list will be posted on the Troupe 900 Remind (@chstclub) at 2:30 PM on Friday, January 10.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Rehearsals: Weekdays after school until 4:30 PM; later during tech week (March 17-20) and performance week (March 24-29). If cast, you will receive a detailed rehearsal calendar.

  • If a cast/crew member misses more than 3 rehearsals without approval, he/she may be replaced.

  • Please ensure you will have reliable transportation. If a cast/crew member is picked up late more than 3 times, he/she may be replaced. Teachers and students are busy and need to go home on time!

  • If a student is failing one or more classes, he/she may be replaced.

  • All cast and crew members are expected to represent CHS Theatre appropriately at ALL TIMES, therefore we have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for drugs, alcohol and vaping. Any cast or crew member who takes part in these activities will be removed from the production.

  • All dates and times are subject to change.

 

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN THE AUDITION?

For your audition, you will be asked to prepare an assigned song from the show, as well as read from the script. Audition sides can be found in the audition packet and you may choose from one of the songs are listed below. You will also be asked to learn and perform a short dance combination.

For your audition, you need to prepare a cut from one of the songs listed below. Don't worry about which character is singing; simply choose whichever song best showcases your ability.

For each song, pay attention to the cut (the part of the song you will sing). Clicking on the button with the character name will open the sheet music.
